Breakfast to feature economic growth projections

The public is invited to join Dr. Robert Eyler as he presents the Solano County 2015 Index of Economic and Community Progress to business and community leaders, Thursday, March 31 at the Solano Economic Development Corporation’s monthly breakfast event at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfield, starting at 7:30 a.m.

“The Index tells an impressive story of Solano County and where we are as we emerge from the recession,” said Sandy Person, Solano EDC president.  “Dr. Eyler will share his expert insights about 2015 and what 2016 holds for our economic future.”

The Index provides detailed analysis of the changes in the local economy and community factors that affect Solano County’s ability to attract and retain employers. This year’s report evaluates many of the indicators at the city level and draws comparisons to the neighboring regions that influence the local economy.

Highlights of the Index were presented to the Solano County Board of Supervisors early this month.  Dr. Eyler, a principal member of Economic Forensics and Analytics, will provide a more comprehensive view of the county’s economic future in his presentation at the Solano Economic Development Corporation (EDC) breakfast.

“Tracking economic data through the annual Index provides Solano County a tremendous tool that private sector and government organizations can use to pinpoint areas of opportunities, as well as spotlight challenges that can be foreseen,” Person says.

The event is sponsored by NorthBay Healthcare, Travis Credit Union and the Valero Benicia Refinery.

To register please contact 707-864-1855, or e-mail: pat@solanoedc.org.  Cost is $27 for EDC members and $37 for non-members.
