Key non-profit organizations will explain how their programs add to the quality of life in Solano County when the Solano Economic Development Corporation meets at noon June 25 at the Benicia Yacht Club, 400 East Second Street, Benicia.
Representatives from four organizations have been invited to the event. They are: Stephanie Wolf, Solano Community Foundation; Ron Marlette, Mission Solano; Marilyn Farley, Solano Land Trust and Kim Thomas, The Children’s Network of Solano County.
“These organizations serve a specific purpose in Solano County,” Michael Ammann, president of Solano EDC said. “We are holding this event to raise awareness about the huge impact non-profits have on the economic posture of our communities.”
Ammann said it is too easy to “…put these non-profit organizations in a box and not recognize just how much they provide to the high quality of life in Solano County.”
To register, contact Solano EDC at 707 864-1855.
Cost is $25 for EDC members, and $35 for non members.
The event is sponsored by the City of Benicia and AT&T. Solano EDC Chairman Circle Members are Touro University, Reporter, Times-Herald, Solano Garbage Company and Potrero Hills Landfill.
