Ammann steps down as head of TeamCalifornia

Michael Ammann, president of Solano Economic Development Corporation, has stepped down as head of TeamCalifornia. He led the statewide organization for two years. The non-profit group brings together economic development organizations from across the state to market their communities for business investment and job creation.

Ammann, one of TeamCalifornia’s pioneers, helped guide the group to a statewide organization that is an important advocate for business development in California.

“When first created, TeamCalifornia was envisioned as an organization that could give the state a strong voice for economic development—at a time when the state was doing very little,” Ammann said. “I have been proud to be a part of the group’s efforts. Today it is not only recognized nationally, it has worked with state officials to increase the government’s role in economic development.”
The new president of TeamCalifornia is Michael Bushey, an executive with Southern California Edison. He becomes the first Southern California representative to lead TeamCalifornia.

“With Mike (Bushey) we have a strong economic development advocate in the president’s chair,” Ammann said. “I turn the reins of TeamCalifornia over to him with extreme confidence that the organization will continue to serve the entire state well.
